The vote to preserve transgender rights in Massachusetts was historic.
It was the first statewide election to preserve basic rights for
transgender citizens. It passed 2-1 statewide, but get THIS: my county
(Hampshire) passed it by 79%, my town (Easthampton) passed it 77%, and
neighboring Northampton passed it 89%! Those aren't even figures you
ever see in elections. The people of Massachusetts say: "Shut the F***
Up!" We're not having the bigotry around here. PS Peoples' civil
rights don't belong on the ballot at all, anyway.
